Our in house Team is designed with our most advanced athletes in mind.

Our team practices are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm.

Our students typically attend one or two nights per week depending on their other activities.

We have both non-competitive and competitive teams within our advanced gymnastics program.

New athletes will be allowed to join competitive at management’s discretion.

Non-Competitive

Our non-competitive athletes may attend practice one or two nights per week.

Each night, they will start with a group warm up and then train on each of the four Women’s events.

In addition to the four Olympic events, they will use

our foam filled pit, TumblTrak, in ground Trampoline and climbing rope

to help develop strength and improve their skills.

Competitive

After much consideration, GymCats has decided to switch over

from USAG Junior Olympic to the Xcel Program.

What is Xcel exactly?  The Xcel program requires less training hours

and is less intense than the traditional USAG J.O. Program.

This makes Xcel a great choice for our gymnasts since a majority of them participate

in other activities throughout their competitive season.

In USAG Junior Olympic there were standard, worldwide set routines for each level.

Not with Xcel!

We will create fun, yet practical routines for our levels with slight additions based on their individual needs.

They even get their own floor music.

Our Competitive athletes MUST attend practice twice a week.

They may be instructed on which days to attend in order to maximize practice productivity.

They will start with a group warm up followed by rotations on each of the four Olympic events.

In addition to the four Olympic events, they will use

our foam filled pit, TumblTrak, in ground Trampoline and climbing rope

to help develop strength and improve their skills.

Registration

Both programs are by invitation or evaluation only.

Most of our athletes have successfully completed our Big Cat and Super Cat programs prior to joining team, though this is not the only way to qualify for our program!

If your child has previous advanced gymnastics experience and you would like to set up an evaluation,

please email us at Info@gymcats.net, or call (914) 965-7676.
